Instructions

  1. Prepare the Brown Butter: Melt the butter in a light-colored skillet over medium heat, stirring until browned (5-8 minutes). Pour into a bowl and chill until solid (45-60 minutes).
  2. Mix the Streusel Topping: Combine flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and oats in a bowl; refrigerate while preparing the filling.
  3. Preheat the Oven: Set oven to 350°F (177°C) and grease a 9-inch pie dish or similar baking dish.
  4. Make the Filling: Mix peaches, blueberries, granulated sugar, flour, salt, and vanilla in a bowl and spread in the baking dish.
  5. Combine the Topping: Mix chilled brown butter into the streusel topping until crumbly.
  6. Assemble and Bake: Sprinkle topping over the filling and bake for 45-50 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
  7. Cool and Serve: Let cool slightly before serving warm, optionally with ice cream or whipped cream.
