Description

Delicious bars featuring creamy cheesecake, tender apples, and sweet caramel, perfect for any gathering.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 packages (8 ounces each) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups chopped apples (about 2 medium apples)
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×9 inch baking pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs, 1/4 cup sugar, and melted butter until combined. Press the mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan.
  3. In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, 1 cup sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Fold in chopped apples, cinnamon, and nutmeg into the cream cheese mixture.
  5. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the crust in the baking pan.
  6. Drizzle caramel sauce over the top and use a knife to swirl it into the cheesecake filling.
  7. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until set.
  8. Let it cool, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours before cutting into bars. Serve chilled.

Notes

For a richer treat, top with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream. Bars can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days.
