- 1 cup Saltine crackers
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 cups chocolate chips
- Sea salt (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange the Saltine crackers in a single layer.
- In a saucepan, melt the butter and brown sugar together, stirring until fully combined.
- Bring to a boil and let simmer for 3 minutes without stirring.
- Pour the caramel mixture over the Saltine crackers, spreading it evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 5-7 minutes until bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and sprinkle the chocolate chips on top. Let sit for a few minutes to melt, then spread the chocolate evenly over the caramel.
- Optionally, sprinkle sea salt on top.
- Let it cool completely, then break into pieces and enjoy!
Notes
Store in an airtight container at room temperature or in the fridge if you live in a warm area. Place parchment paper between layers to prevent sticking.
