- 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs (about 9 whole crackers)

- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar

- 1 container Cool Whip, 8 ounces
- 1 can cherry pie filling, 21 ounces
Instructions
- Melt the unsalted butter in a small saucepan or in the microwave until liquid.
- In a bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs and granulated sugar. Pour melted butter over crumbs and stir until combined.
- Press the crumb mixture firmly into the bottom and slightly up the sides of a 9-inch pie plate or an 8×8-inch square pan. Chill in the refrigerator.
- In a medium bowl, beat softened cream cheese until smooth.
- Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract, and continue to beat until creamy and lump-free.
- Fold in the Cool Whip gently until light and even.
- Spread the filling over the chilled crust evenly.
- Spoon the cherry pie filling over the cream layer and smooth gently.
- Refrigerate for at least 1 hour to firm up, but chilling 2 to 4 hours is best for cleaner slices.
