Description

These churro bites are deliciously crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, made quickly in an air fryer for a healthier treat.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Cooking spray or oil for the air fryer

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine water, sugar, butter, and vanilla over medium heat until the mixture comes to a boil.
  2. Stir in flour and salt until the dough forms a ball and pulls away from the sides of the pan.
  3. Remove from heat and let cool for a few minutes.
  4. Beat in eggs one at a time until smooth.
  5. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  6. Transfer the dough to a piping bag and pipe small bites onto parchment paper.
  7. Lightly coat churro bites with cooking spray.
  8. Air fry for 5–7 minutes until golden brown, turning halfway through.
  9. Mix cinnamon and sugar in a bowl and toss the churro bites in the mixture before serving.

Notes

Serve hot with dipping sauces like chocolate, dulce de leche, or fruit jam. Store in an airtight container.
