Description

These mousse domes blend the cozy flavors of gingerbread and coffee into a light, airy dessert perfect for holiday gatherings.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup brewed coffee
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup gingerbread cookies, crushed
  • Chocolate or glaze for topping

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whip the heavy cream and powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix brewed coffee, vanilla extract, ginger, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. Fold the coffee mixture into the whipped cream gently until combined.
  4. Add the crushed gingerbread cookies and fold again.
  5. Spoon the mousse into dome molds and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until set.
  6. Once set, carefully remove the domes from the molds.
  7. Top with chocolate or glaze before serving.

Notes

Chill mixing bowls and beaters for better whipping results. Use stronger coffee for a more pronounced flavor.
