This creamy, sweet, and perfectly spiced Homemade Cinnamon Butter takes just 5 minutes to make and transforms breakfast favorites like toast, pancakes, and banana bread into bakery-worthy bites. With a hint of honey or maple syrup and warm cinnamon, it’s a spread you’ll want to put on everything!
Ingredients
1 cup (226g) unsalted butter, softened
1/4 cup (30g) confectioners’ sugar
2 tablespoons honey or pure maple syrup
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (or more, to taste)
Pinch of salt
Instructions
In a large bowl, beat softened butter with a mixer on medium speed for 1 minute until creamy.
Add confectioners’ sugar, honey or maple syrup, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt.
Beat on medium-high speed for 3–4 minutes until the mixture is fluffy and smooth.
Scrape down the sides of the bowl and beat again if needed.
Taste and adjust cinnamon or salt as desired.
Serve with toast, biscuits, or banana bread. Enjoy!
Notes
Storage: Keep at room temperature (up to 2 days), refrigerate (up to 3 months), or freeze (up to 6 months).
To Freeze: Place in airtight container or wrap tightly in plastic. Thaw overnight in fridge and re-whip if needed.
Customization: Add vanilla, orange zest, or swap cinnamon for pumpkin pie spice.
Use salted butter if preferred; reduce added salt.
