Description

A bright and fresh homemade Italian dressing using simple pantry ingredients, perfect for salads, marinades, and dips.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3/4 cup (180ml) extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) white wine vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped red bell pepper
  • 1 tablespoon dried parsley
  • 2 teaspoons dried minced onion
  • 2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 teaspoon honey or granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Combine all of the ingredients in a bowl or a jar with a tight-fitting lid.
  2. Whisk or shake until the mixture is well combined.
  3. Taste the dressing and add more seasonings if desired.
  4. Store the dressing in an airtight container or jar in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
  5. Shake well before using.

Notes

Shake the jar before each use, as oil and vinegar separate over time. The dressing can be adjusted for taste and used with various foods.
