Description

These honey BBQ chicken bites are crispy, sticky, sweet, and smoky — the perfect baked alternative to fried chicken. Coated in crushed corn flakes and drenched in a tangy honey BBQ glaze, they’re ideal for game day, dinner, or snack time. Easy to make, freezer-friendly, and air fryer approved!

Ingredients

Scale

For the Chicken Bites:

  • 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 5 cups corn flakes cereal, lightly crushed

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

  • 1/4 tsp smoked paprika

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1/4 cup milk

For the Honey BBQ Sauce:

  • 3/4 cup BBQ sauce (e.g. Sweet Baby Ray’s)

  • 1/4 cup honey

  • 1/4 cup ketchup

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (204°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.

  2. Toss chicken pieces in flour until fully coated.

  3. Whisk eggs and milk in a small bowl.

  4. In a separate bowl, mix crushed corn flakes, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.

  5. Dip floured chicken into egg wash, then press into cornflake coating. Place on baking sheet.

  6. Bake for 18–20 minutes, flipping halfway through. Let rest 5 minutes.

  7. In a saucepan, simmer BBQ sauce, honey, and ketchup for 5 minutes.

  8. Toss baked chicken bites in warm sauce and serve immediately.
