Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg, orange zest, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, ground cloves, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving space between each.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Dust with powdered sugar if desired before serving.
Notes
