Description

Soft and rich brownies with a bright red color and mild cocoa flavor, perfect for parties and celebrations.


Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 2 oz chopped semi-sweet chocolate bar
  • 1 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 1/2 tablespoons red gel food coloring
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F. Line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, melt the butter and chopped chocolate in the microwave.
  3. Add the granulated sugar and mix until combined.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, stirring well after each addition.
  5. Stir in vanilla extract, white vinegar, and red gel food coloring until desired color is achieved.
  6. Sift together cocoa powder, flour, and salt in a separate bowl.
  7. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  8. If desired, fold in white chocolate chips.
  9. Pour batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  10. Bake for 30-35 minutes; a toothpick should come out with a few moist crumbs.
  11. Allow to cool completely before lifting out and cutting into squares.

Notes

Optional: Drizzle melted white chocolate on top before serving.
