  • 4 cups mini marshmallows (or 10 oz regular marshmallows)
  • 3 tablespoons butter

Instructions

  1. Prepare your 9×13-inch pan by lightly buttering it or lining it with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the butter in a large pot over low heat.
  3. Add marshmallows to the melted butter and stir until smooth.
  4. Remove pot from heat and stir in vanilla and salt, if using.
  5. Pour the rice cereal into the pot and gently fold until all pieces are coated.
  6. Transfer the mix to the prepared pan and press it evenly with a buttered spatula.
  7. Let cool for about 30 minutes at room temperature.
  8. Cut into squares and serve.
