Description

Deliciously festive cookies combining Oreo pieces and Valentine’s Day M&M’s in a soft, chewy cookie.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup butter, slightly softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 & 1/3 cup flour
  • 1 tbsp corn starch
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2/3 cup Valentine’s Day M&M’s
  • 7 Oreo cookies, roughly chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silpat.
  2. Cream the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar together in a medium bowl using a spatula.
  3. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth and well incorporated.
  4. Incorporate the dry ingredients (flour, corn starch, baking soda, and salt) into the wet mixture, stirring just until combined.
  5. Fold in the Valentine’s Day M&M’s and roughly chopped Oreo pieces.
  6. Use a large cookie scooper (1/4 cup or 4 tbsp) to portion the dough into 10 equal cookies and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 13 minutes; cookies will appear underdone in the center.
  8. After removing from the oven, swirl the top with a cookie cutter to make them round if desired.
  9. Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack to finish cooling.

Notes

Store cooled cookies in an airtight container for up to 3 days at room temperature. To keep them soft, add a slice of bread.
