Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare an 8-inch square baking pan by greasing it with butter or cooking spray and lining it with parchment paper.
- Melt the butter in a microwave-safe bowl for 30 seconds to 1 minute.
- Mix in the granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Add the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder into the wet mixture and stir until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips gently.
- Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking pan.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes, checking with a toothpick for doneness.
- Cool completely in the pan before cutting.
- Cut out heart shapes using the cookie cutter and serve.
