Description

Ingredients

  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Melt the butter in a medium bowl, then stir in the granulated sugar until combined.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth and creamy.
  4. Combine flour, cocoa powder, and salt in a separate bowl. Gradually add to the butter mixture, stirring until fully mixed.
  5. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan, spreading evenly.
  6. Beat the cream cheese and powdered sugar in another bowl until smooth, then pour over the brownie layer.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of the remaining brownie batter over the cream cheese layer and swirl lightly with a knife.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes until a toothpick comes out mostly clean.
  9. Cool in the pan before slicing into squares.

Notes

Serve with powdered sugar, chocolate sauce, or ice cream. Can be stored at room temperature for 3 days or refrigerated for up to a week.
