- 1 cup butter
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- Melt the butter in a medium bowl, then stir in the granulated sugar until combined.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth and creamy.
- Combine flour, cocoa powder, and salt in a separate bowl. Gradually add to the butter mixture, stirring until fully mixed.
- Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan, spreading evenly.
- Beat the cream cheese and powdered sugar in another bowl until smooth, then pour over the brownie layer.
- Drop spoonfuls of the remaining brownie batter over the cream cheese layer and swirl lightly with a knife.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until a toothpick comes out mostly clean.
- Cool in the pan before slicing into squares.
Notes
Serve with powdered sugar, chocolate sauce, or ice cream. Can be stored at room temperature for 3 days or refrigerated for up to a week.
