Description

Delightful dessert bars packed with juicy mixed berries and a crumbly topping, perfect for picnics and gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8 inch baking pan.
  2. Combine flour, oats, brown sugar, and salt in a bowl. Add melted butter and mix until crumbly.
  3. Press half of the crumble mixture into the bottom of the baking pan.
  4. Mix the berries with lemon juice, cornstarch, and vanilla in a bowl. Spread this mixture over the crust.
  5. Sprinkle the remaining crumble mixture over the berry filling.
  6. Bake for about 30-35 minutes until golden on top.
  7. Cool in the pan, then cut into bars to serve.
