- 1 package (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix
- 2 cups milk
- 1 cup whipped cream (plus more for topping)
- 3–4 ripe bananas, sliced
- 1 box (11 oz) vanilla wafers
- Optional: crushed vanilla wafers for topping
Instructions
- Prepare the pudding: In a bowl, mix the instant vanilla pudding mix with the milk. Whisk well until smooth and thickened. This usually takes about 2 minutes.
- Add whipped cream: Gently fold in the whipped cream into the pudding mixture. This makes the pudding light and creamy.
- Layer the ingredients: In a glass dish or individual cups, start layering your dessert. Begin with a layer of vanilla wafers at the bottom, followed by a layer of sliced bananas, and then a layer of pudding mix. Repeat these layers until you run out of ingredients, finishing with a layer of pudding on top.
- Chill and serve: Cover the dish with plastic wrap and let the pudding chill in the fridge for at least 120 minutes.
- Top before serving: Just before serving, add additional whipped cream and sprinkle crushed vanilla wafers on top if desired.
Notes
Best enjoyed within a few days. For freshness, slice bananas just before serving.
