Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9-inch round cake pan to prevent sticking.
  3. Cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Stir in the milk, fresh lemon juice, and lemon zest.
  6. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt in another bowl.
  7. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
