- 1 package (10 oz) of marshmallows
- 6 cups of Rice Krispies cereal
- 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
Instructions
- Melt the butter in a large saucepan over low heat, watching carefully to prevent burning.
- Add the marshmallows to the melted butter and stir constantly until completely melted.
- Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
- Pour the Rice Krispies cereal into the melted marshmallow mixture and stir gently until well-coated.
- Prepare a 9×13 inch baking dish by greasing it. Press the mixture firmly into the dish evenly.
- Let the treats cool, then cut them into squares.
Notes
For best results, use fresh marshmallows and avoid overheating them. Store in an airtight container.
