This Silky Chocolate Cheesecake combines rich chocolate and creamy cheesecake for a delightful dessert that melts in your mouth.

- 2 cups cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup sour cream
- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 8 oz semi-sweet chocolate, melted
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 pre-made graham cracker crust or homemade crust
- 1/4 cup butter, melted (if making a crust)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).
- Beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy.
- Add the granulated sugar to the cream cheese, mixing until fully combined.
- Blend in the sour cream and melted chocolate until uniform in texture.
- Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in the cocoa powder and vanilla extract until well mixed.
- If using a homemade graham cracker crust, combine crushed graham crackers with melted butter and press into the bottom of a pie pan.
- Pour the cheesecake filling into your prepared crust, smoothing the top with a spatula.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes until edges are set but the middle is slightly jiggly.
- Cool the cheesecake in the oven for about an hour, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
Notes
Top the cheesecake with whipped cream, chocolate shavings, or fresh berries for an extra treat. It can also be served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
