A delightful dessert that layers sweet strawberries, creamy pudding, and light whipped cream, making it a favorite for fruit lovers.


Ingredients

  • 1 box vanilla instant pudding
  • 1/2 cup strawberry juice
  • 1 1/2 cups nonfat milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 24 Savoiardi lady fingers
  • 1 pound fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 220 g chilled whipped cream

Instructions

  1. Prepare the pudding: In a bowl, combine the vanilla pudding mix, milk, and vanilla extract. Whisk until smooth. Set aside to thicken.
  2. Whip the cream: Using a mixer, beat the chilled whipped cream until it holds stiff peaks. Optionally, add sugar to taste.
  3. Set up the lady fingers: Quickly dip the Savoiardi ladyfingers in strawberry juice and arrange a layer at the bottom of your dish.
  4. Layer the pudding: Spread half of the prepared pudding over the ladyfingers evenly.
  5. Add the strawberries: Place half of the sliced strawberries in a single layer over the pudding.
  6. Repeat the layers: Dip remaining ladyfingers in strawberry juice and layer over the strawberries, followed by the remaining pudding and the rest of the strawberries.
  7. Finish with whipped cream: Add a generous layer of whipped cream on top. Garnish with extra strawberry slices if desired.
  8. Chill: Cover and refrigerate for at least 240 minutes to meld flavors.
