- 1 box vanilla instant pudding
- 1/2 cup strawberry juice
- 1 1/2 cups nonfat milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 24 Savoiardi lady fingers
- 1 pound fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 220 g chilled whipped cream
Instructions
- Prepare the pudding: In a bowl, combine the vanilla pudding mix, milk, and vanilla extract. Whisk until smooth. Set aside to thicken.
- Whip the cream: Using a mixer, beat the chilled whipped cream until it holds stiff peaks. Optionally, add sugar to taste.
- Set up the lady fingers: Quickly dip the Savoiardi ladyfingers in strawberry juice and arrange a layer at the bottom of your dish.
- Layer the pudding: Spread half of the prepared pudding over the ladyfingers evenly.
- Add the strawberries: Place half of the sliced strawberries in a single layer over the pudding.
- Repeat the layers: Dip remaining ladyfingers in strawberry juice and layer over the strawberries, followed by the remaining pudding and the rest of the strawberries.
- Finish with whipped cream: Add a generous layer of whipped cream on top. Garnish with extra strawberry slices if desired.
- Chill: Cover and refrigerate for at least 240 minutes to meld flavors.
