Description

A rich and decadent cheesecake featuring a creamy chocolate filling and an Oreo crust, perfect for chocolate lovers.


Ingredients

  • 24 Oreo cookies, crushed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 (8-ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet or dark)
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Additional chocolate for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C).
  2. In a medium-sized bowl, combine the crushed Oreo cookies and melted butter. Mix until well coated.
  3. Press the mixture into the bottom of a springform pan to form the crust and bake for about 10 minutes. Remove and let cool.
  4. In another bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add granulated sugar and vanilla extract.
  5. Add the eggs one by one, mixing well after each. Then mix in the sour cream until combined.
  6. Melt chocolate chips until smooth and fold into the cream cheese mixture along with cocoa powder.
  7. Pour the cheesecake batter over the cooled Oreo crust and spread evenly.
  8. Bake for about 55 to 60 minutes until the center is set but jiggles slightly. Turn off the oven and let it cool inside.
  9. Chill the cheesecake in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  10. Whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form and spread over the cheesecake before serving. Garnish with chocolate, if desired.

Notes

Serve with whipped cream or ice cream. For best results, chill overnight.
