Description

Delightful tiramisu brownies combining rich chocolate with creamy coffee layers for a luxurious dessert experience.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup espresso or strong coffee, cooled
  • 8 ounces ladyfingers
  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • Cocoa powder for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. Brown the butter in a pan until it turns a rich brown.
  3. Mix the melted brown butter with granulated sugar until smooth.
  4. Add the eggs and vanilla extract into the mixture and blend well.
  5. Combine the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, and salt, and mix gently.
  6. Bake the brownie batter for 20-25 minutes, checking doneness with a toothpick.
  7. Soak the ladyfingers in cooled espresso for a few seconds.
  8. Layer half of the soaked ladyfingers over the brownie layer.
  9. Make the mascarpone mixture by whipping mascarpone, heavy cream, and powdered sugar until smooth.
  10. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers.
  11. Repeat the layer process with remaining ladyfingers and mascarpone mixture.
  12. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours and dust with cocoa before serving.

Notes

For a sweeter mascarpone layer, adjust the powdered sugar to your preference. Store the brownies in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days or freeze for later enjoyment.
