Description

A delightful vanilla cake topped with vibrant sprinkles and rich white chocolate ganache, perfect for celebrations.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup sprinkles
  • 1 cup Italian buttercream (homemade or store-bought)
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate, chopped
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. Cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Prepare the dry ingredients by whisking together the flour, baking powder, and salt in another bowl.
  5. Combine the dry ingredients with the wet mixture, alternating with milk, and mix until just combined.
  6. Fold in the sprinkles, being gentle to maintain their color.
  7. Divide the batter evenly between the prepared cake pans and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  8. Cool the cakes in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
  9. Make the ganache by heating the heavy cream until boiling, then pouring it over the chopped white chocolate. Stir until smooth.
  10. Assemble the cake by spreading Italian buttercream on the first layer and adding the second layer on top. Cover the entire cake with buttercream.
  11. Drizzle the white chocolate ganache over the top and let it set before serving.

Notes
