Description
A delightful twist on traditional sushi using light and fluffy crepes filled with sweet ingredients like Nutella and Oreos.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 tbsp (25 g) unsalted butter
- 1 cup (250 ml) milk
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp (5 g) vanilla extract
- ¾ cup (100 g) all-purpose flour
- ⅓ cup (50 g) powdered sugar
- ¼ tsp (1.5 g) salt
- 1 tsp butter (for cooking)
- 3 ½ tbsp (50 ml) heavy whipping cream
- 1 tbsp (8 g) powdered sugar (for whipping cream)
- 2 Oreos, crushed
- 1 banana
- 2 tbsp (38 g) Nutella
- 1 tsp (3 g) chopped hazelnuts
- 4 tbsp (75 g) Kinder Bueno spread
- 2 Kinder Bueno bars
Instructions
- Prepare the crepe batter: Start by melting the unsalted butter and warming up the milk in a small saucepan. Mix the butter and milk together.
- Mix the eggs: In a large mixing bowl, whisk the eggs until they are scrambled. Pour in the butter and milk mixture, and continue to whisk.
- Combine dry ingredients: Add the vanilla extract, all-purpose flour, powdered sugar, and salt to the egg mixture. Whisk everything together until it’s smooth. Pass the whole batter through a sieve into another bowl to eliminate lumps.
- Cook the crepes: Heat a non-stick frying pan over medium heat and add a little butter. Once the butter is hot and bubbly, pour in some crepe batter. Quickly swirl the pan around so the batter covers the bottom evenly. Cook until the top looks matte, then carefully flip it and cook for another minute. Remove the crepe and let it lay flat on a plate. Repeat until all batter is used.
- Whip the cream: In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar until stiff peaks form. Gently fold in the crushed Oreos.
- Assemble the crepes: For Oreo crepes, pipe Oreo whipped cream into two crepes, roll them up, and slice. For Nutella and banana crepes, spread Nutella, layer sliced banana, sprinkle chopped hazelnuts, roll and cut. For Kinder Bueno crepes, spread Kinder Bueno spread on two crepes, placing a Kinder Bueno bar on each, roll and cut.
- Serve: Arrange all prepared crepes on a serving plate with dipping sauces like Nutella or Kinder spread.
Notes
Store leftover crepes in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days, keeping filling separate to avoid sogginess.
